Soft against the skin and light to wear, the Peony Field Silk Scarf brings the feeling of stepping into a landscape filled with flowers. Inspired by the painting Where I Longed to Be, its pink peonies and open blue sky evoke freedom, joy and a gentle sense of escape.

As the scarf is folded and draped, different parts of the peony field come into view, creating a new composition each time it is worn. Around the neck, over the shoulders or tied in the hair, it adds colour and romance without feeling overpowering, lifting both simple everyday outfits and more dressed-up moments.

Artwork behind the design

The scarf is inspired by Where I Longed to Be, an imagined landscape where a field of peonies stretches beneath an open blue sky. The painting expresses a longing for freedom, beauty and a place that exists somewhere between memory and imagination.
Silk care

To preserve the beauty of your silk shawl, we recommend professional dry cleaning when needed. Store it flat or loosely rolled in its presentation box, away from direct sunlight and moisture. If required, lightly steam or use a cool iron on the reverse side to remove creases, taking care not to flatten the hand-rolled edges. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray and jewellery that may mark or snag the delicate silk.
Manufacturing

Each scarf is digitally printed to faithfully preserve the richness and detail of the original painting, a process chosen to reproduce every delicate brushstroke and subtle variation of colour. It is then finished with hand-rolled edges by skilled artisans in villages near the artist's hometown, bringing together contemporary printing with a long tradition of craftsmanship.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 working hours.

UK Standard Delivery: Usually arrives within 2 to 3 working days, depending on the courier.

UK Next Day Delivery: Available for orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 1pm or over the weekend will be dispatched on the next working day.

International Delivery: Delivery times vary depending on the destination, local customs procedures and the selected shipping service.
Return

We hope you will be delighted with your purchase. If you change your mind, you may return your order within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us within this period at peony@thepeonygirl.com to arrange your return.

Items must be returned within 14 days of notifying us, in their original condition, with all original packaging and proof of purchase. You may inspect your purchase as you would in a shop, but it must not show signs of wear beyond this.

For hygiene and quality reasons, we can only accept returns of items that are unworn, unwashed, free from perfume or fragrance, and without marks, damage or alterations.

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will process your refund to the original payment method. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue promptly. Your statutory rights are not affected.
