The original floral painting depicts a delicate 'Madame Louis Henry'. Originating in France, this tree peony is distinctive for its flushed carmine-pink petals and large bowl-shaped flowers up to 7 inches in diameter.

A personal favourite of hers, this slow-growing peony was recommended by Anne Chambers from the beautiful Kiftsgate Court Gardens. Product description  

The impressive mural featuring auspicious symbols: the tiger, peonies, and crane, aiming to bring the wishes of prosperity and abundance in 2022, was painted in chalk paint on nine plywood panels connected together.

In the painting, a majestic tiger is standing among red irises and tree peonies in full bloom. Pinks, reds and whites of the peony blossoms create an effect of fullness and three-dimensional depth and contrast with different shades of blue in the background. Behind the tiger, a pair of elegant cranes are seen taking flight.

The creation process that lasted ten days was witnessed by thousands of visitors in the Highcross Leicester Centre and featured in BBC and ITV News. You can read the full story of the mural here.
